Add a brand to a workspace

The brand is set when you create the workspace, in Brand to track, and can be changed afterwards in the workspace settings.

Use the name people write

Enter the brand the way someone would type it in a sentence. If it is usually one word, use one word. If it carries a suffix people drop in conversation, drop it.

Keylight looks for the brand in the text of every answer. A name that nobody writes that way will be found less often than it should be, and the score will be wrong in a direction you cannot see.

The website

Their website, optional is what lets Keylight tell you when an engine quoted one of your own pages rather than somebody else’s. Without it, your pages appear in the cited sources like anyone else’s and nothing marks them as yours.

Enter the domain on its own. There is no need for a path.

Brands with a common word for a name

A brand named after an ordinary word will be matched in sentences that are not about it. If the score looks far too high, open the evidence page and read a few answers. If the brand is being found in the wrong sentences, tell us at hey@trykeylight.com and we will look at the matching rules against the answers already collected, which costs nothing and changes the history as well as the future.
