What happens in your first week

Keylight checks once a week, on Monday. Whatever day you set a workspace up, the first real results arrive on the first Monday after it.

The wait is deliberate. A number built from one afternoon is a number built from one afternoon, and it would move on its own next week for reasons that have nothing to do with you.

What arrives on the first Monday

Your appearance score, with its margin of error beside it. Your prominence score underneath. A breakdown by engine. The evidence behind every number, meaning the answers themselves. And an email to everyone on the workspace saying what it found.

What the first week cannot tell you

Whether anything is moving. A single score has nothing to be compared against, so there is no trend line and no “real change or noise” reading yet. That starts on the second Monday and gets more useful from there.

If you want something today rather than on Monday, the free report card runs ten questions on one engine in about a minute. It is a snapshot, not tracking, and it is explained in its own article.
