Best AI visibility tools, by buyer situation
Keylight makes this page, and Keylight sells one of the tools on it. A roundup written by a vendor has an obvious answer built into it, and this one is written by a vendor. So this page does not rank the field. It sorts by who is asking, and for four of the five situations below the honest answer is not Keylight.
Cheapest way to start tracking at all
Otterly's Lite plan is a cheap way in at $29 a month, or $25 a month billed annually, read from Keylight's price research on 3 September 2026. Lite covers 15 prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons on every Otterly tier, so the $29 price does not include those three engines.
AthenaHQ's Essential plan costs nothing at all: no monthly fee, a $25 credit on signup and 300 credits included, covering ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, read from Keylight's price research on 3 September 2026. Free beats $29 if the only question is whether AI mentions a brand at all. Our research records those credits as a one-time allowance, and does not say whether the 300 renew monthly.
Only three engines, and no interest in the rest
Peec AI is priced around choosing engines instead of bundling every one together. Starter is $95 a month, or $80 billed annually, read from Keylight's price research on 3 September 2026, for 50 prompts and a pick of 3 of the 6 models offered below its Enterprise tier: ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Naver AI and Gemini. A fourth model costs $35 a month more on Starter, $85 on Pro and $165 on Advanced, confirmed by the same research on 4 September 2026. A buyer who already knows which three engines matter to them fits this structure better than a flat all-engines price.
Superlines runs the same shape in euros: Starter is €79 a month, or €69 billed annually, also for any 3 engines, read 3 September 2026. It publishes no dollar price anywhere, so a US buyer is converting either way.
Already paying for an SEO suite and want AI tracking inside it
Ahrefs and Semrush both fold AI tracking into a product a buyer may already own, and each does it differently. Ahrefs' Brand Radar is bundled into the Lite, Standard and Advanced plans, from $129 a month on Lite with 5 tracked AI prompts. Ahrefs also sells Brand Radar AI on its own, from $199 a month or in monthly prompt packages billed by check volume. Both read from Keylight's price research on 3 September 2026. A price comparison that does not say which of the two it means is citing the wrong number.
Semrush gates AI tracking behind a specific tier; it is not part of the base SEO plan. The SEO tier alone is $139 a month, $117.33 billed annually, and does not include AI visibility tracking, established by Keylight's price research on 4 September 2026. The SEO plus AI Search Starter tier, at $199 a month or $165.17 annually, is the one that adds 50 AI prompts tracked daily and one domain of AI brand performance. A Semrush customer sitting on the $139 plan is not tracking AI visibility yet, whatever the rest of the subscription covers.
Reporting AI visibility across many client brands
AgencyAnalytics is built for this job specifically. "AI Tracker lives inside AgencyAnalytics, so client visibility sits next to the SEO, PPC, and social data you already report on," reads the product's own feature page, read from agencyanalytics.com/features/ai-tracker on 16 September 2026. The core platform is $25 a client a month, or $20 billed annually, read from Keylight's price research on 3 September 2026. AI Tracker itself is a separate, credit-metered add-on: $25 a month per 250 credits, $20.83 annually, covering ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Google AI Mode, Claude and more. For an agency already inside AgencyAnalytics for its other channels, this saves opening a second dashboard for one section of the report. The tradeoff is that the platform fee and the credit fee are billed separately and both scale with client count, so there is no single flat per-client number the way there is with a workspace-based tool.
Defending the number to a client or a board
This is Keylight's situation, and it is why we belong here rather than at the top. Keylight publishes a margin of error on every appearance score, reports a week-on-week move as a change only when its whole range sits clear of zero, and keeps the exact text the engine produced behind every score, on an evidence page, so a client or a board member can read what was actually said instead of taking a number on faith. The method behind all three sits on a public page anyone can open without logging in. Four of the tools in the table below were read directly for this page on 16 September 2026, Ahrefs, Profound, AgencyAnalytics and LLMrefs, and none of their own pages puts a margin of error beside a score. The other twelve have not been re-read one by one since Keylight's competitor research on 2 September 2026, which found the same gap across the category and is the older source.
Solo is $79 a month, or two months free billed annually, for 500 tracked questions a week across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek, with 1 workspace and 5 seats. The customer decides which of the eight engines to spend those 500 questions on. Grok and Claude are each capped at 10% of weekly capacity, because both are billed by usage rather than per request. A $39 a month add-on lifts either cap by 100 a week, inside the same 500. Full pricing and signup are at trykeylight.com/pricing. A buyer choosing on price, on a specific mix of engines, or on a tool that plugs into something they already run has a better fit above. A buyer who has to defend the number to a client or a board is the one this tier was built for.
Every tool priced, in one place
A few of the entry tiers above look broader than they are, and one of them stopped existing while this page was being checked. Profound published a $99 Starter tier and a $399 Growth tier on 3 September 2026. Re-read on 20 September, its pricing page offers a brand two things: a free trial, limited to "10 prompts run once" on "ChatGPT only", and Enterprise at "Custom". There is no self-serve price on the page at all. Profound on its own, and the vendors nearest it, are in Profound alternatives; Peec's per-engine metering is worked through in Peec AI alternatives; and the two tools on this list that both headline $79 are held against each other in LLMrefs alternatives.

The prompt counts on this page are not one unit. Our research records daily tracking for Peec, Profound, Otterly, Trakkr and Semrush, weekly for LLMrefs, and no frequency for several others. Keylight checks weekly. Compare a weekly allowance against a weekly allowance before comparing either against a price, and where a frequency is not recorded, treat the count as unknown rather than equal.
